Hi there π, nice to meet you! Iβm Tian Guiyin, a recent Computer Engineering graduate from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at HKU). Iβll soon be joining the Department of Data and Systems Engineering (DASE) at HKU as an MPhil student, where Iβll be part of the CPS Lab under the supervision of Professor S.Y. Hu.

π UG Selected Projects
Developed an intelligent billiards analysis system using YOLOv5 for table and ball detection, OpenCV for image processing, and DeepSeek API for strategic analysis. Built with Django backend and Bootstrap frontend, providing shot suggestions and game analysis for American 9-ball scenarios.
Developed an intelligent agricultural robot integrating Nvidia Jetson Nano with Arduino for real-time object detection and autonomous control systems. The system achieved 98.5% detection accuracy using computer vision algorithms and featured voice control integration through Siri API for enhanced human-robot interaction in precision agriculture applications.
Implemented a hand gesture recognition system using fine-tuned ResNet18 architecture with custom dataset preprocessing. Applied model optimization techniques including pruning and quantization for edge deployment on Raspberry Pi 4B, achieving 97.8% accuracy with real-time inference capabilities in resource-constrained environments.
Designed and manufactured a competition-grade autonomous soccer robot featuring advanced motion control algorithms and real-time strategy execution. The robot demonstrated exceptional performance in competitive gameplay and was selected for exhibition at the HKU 7th Engineering Innovation Show, showcasing integration of mechanical design, embedded systems, and intelligent control.
